Summer skiing in Europe: yes, it’s possible (and it’s amazing)
While most people store their skis and switch to the beach, you can keep skiing in Europe.
And not just anywhere.
Thanks to altitude and large Alpine glaciers, some resorts keep snow all year round, allowing real skiing in summer at their highest elevations.
One of the best examples is Cervino Ski Paradise, offering more than 20 km of summer skiing on glacier terrain.
Few experiences compare to carving turns in June, under the sun, without crowds, surrounded by high mountains.
Cervinia: skiing beneath a legendary mountain
Just over 2 hours by car from Milan, we reach the beautiful Alpine village of Cervinia, the Italian side of the iconic Matterhorn.
A perfect pyramid rising above 4,000 meters, one of the most recognizable mountains on Earth (yes, the Toblerone one).
On the other side of the massif lies the elegant Swiss village of Zermatt, connected by lifts and pistes.
Summer skiing here means:
- glacier snow
- quiet slopes
- true high-mountain atmosphere
- zero stress
- unforgettable views
This is not mass tourism skiing.
This is skiing for people who don’t want to stop.
