🇯🇵 Niseko & Sapporo Ski & Snowboard Trip 2027
Discover the Ultimate Ski Adventure in Hokkaido
Experience the best powder snow on Earth with our unforgettable 10-day ski & snowboard trip to Hokkaido, Japan.
Explore the vibrant streets and world-famous food scene of Sapporo, then head to Niseko, the world’s most iconic powder destination, where deep, dry snow and endless tree runs await.
This trip combines world-class skiing and snowboarding with authentic Japanese culture, delicious cuisine, relaxing onsens, and an amazing group of fellow snow lovers.
Whether you’re chasing waist-deep powder or simply want to experience winter in Japan, this is the adventure you’ve been dreaming about.
The Dream Trip for Powder Lovers
If you’re passionate about deep snow, Niseko needs no introduction.
Every winter, powerful storms crossing the Sea of Japan from Siberia dump 12–16 metres (40–52 ft) of incredibly light, dry powder onto the mountains of Hokkaido. The result is one of the most reliable powder destinations anywhere on Earth.
But this journey is about much more than skiing.
Instead of visiting Tokyo or Kyoto, we’ll explore Hokkaido, Japan’s northern island, where winter defines everyday life, local traditions remain strong, and incredible food is around every corner.
Expect unforgettable powder days, traditional hot springs, ramen, sushi, izakayas, beautiful landscapes and a true taste of Japan.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a visa for Japan?
For many nationalities—including citizens of most European countries, the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand—no visa is required for short tourist visits.
However, entry requirements may change, so we recommend checking the latest official information before traveling.
Can I join alone?
Absolutely.
In fact, most of our travelers come alone.
By the end of the trip, everyone feels like part of the group.
Do I need to speak Japanese?
No.
Your trip leader will organize all logistics, and English is widely spoken in tourist areas such as Niseko and Sapporo.
Is there really that much snow?
Yes.
We travel during one of the snowiest periods of the Japanese winter, when Niseko typically enjoys its deepest and most consistent powder conditions.

Yes.
Both Niseko and Sapporo have excellent rental shops offering modern skis, snowboards and high-quality equipment.
Is this a freeride trip?

Those interested in freeriding may have the opportunity to do so if snow and weather conditions allow. If enough participants are interested, we’ll arrange an optional local certified freeride guide.

Our goal is simple:
To make this the best ski trip you’ve ever experienced.
Why Niseko?
When people think about skiing in Japan…
They think about Niseko.
Located on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido, Niseko has become one of the world’s most famous ski destinations thanks to its extraordinary snowfall.
Every winter it receives between 12 and 16 metres (40–52 feet) of incredibly light, dry powder created by cold Siberian storms crossing the Sea of Japan.
The result?
Some of the deepest, lightest snow you’ll ever ski.
But Niseko is much more than endless powder.
It’s famous for:
🌲 Incredible tree skiing.
❄ Endless off-piste terrain.
🏔 Beautiful views of Mount Yotei.
🚡 Modern lift infrastructure.
🍜 Fantastic restaurants.
🍺 Lively après-ski.
🌎 An international atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Japan.
If you’ve ever watched videos of skiers floating through chest-deep powder…
There’s a good chance they were filmed here.
Why Sapporo?
Sapporo is far more than just a place to spend the night.
It is the cultural and culinary heart of Hokkaido.
Throughout the trip you’ll discover why it’s considered one of Japan’s best food cities.
You’ll have the chance to enjoy:
🍜 Authentic Sapporo miso ramen.
🍺 The famous Sapporo Beer.
🍣 Fresh sushi and seafood.
🥩 Japanese yakiniku BBQ.
🍶 Traditional izakayas.
Only a short drive from the city you’ll also find excellent ski resorts including:
🎿 Sapporo Teine
🎿 Sapporo Kokusai
🎿 Bankei
The perfect way to begin the adventure before heading to legendary Niseko.
What Skill Level Do I Need?
This trip is suitable for everyone.
Whether you’ve just started skiing…
Or you’ve spent years chasing powder around the world…
You’ll have an incredible experience.
Beginners
Wide slopes.
Friendly terrain.
Excellent snow conditions.
A fantastic place to build confidence.
Intermediate Riders
Hundreds of kilometres of varied terrain.
Perfect conditions to improve your technique.
Advanced Skiers & Snowboarders
Legendary powder.
Tree runs.
Freeride opportunities.
Some of the best snow conditions on Earth.
What Equipment Should I Bring?
If you already own ski or snowboard equipment, we recommend bringing it with you.
If not, we’ll happily help you rent high-quality equipment in Japan.
We recommend bringing:
🎿 Helmet
🥽 Goggles
🧥 Waterproof jacket and pants
🧤 Warm gloves
🎒 Small backpack
🧴 Sunscreen
🩱 Swimsuit for the onsen
For snowboarders, an all-mountain or freeride board is ideal for Niseko’s famous powder.
Why Visit Japan for Skiing?
Japan has become one of the most sought-after ski destinations in the world.
Not because of luxury.
Not because of giant resorts.
Because nowhere else consistently delivers snow quite like this.
Every winter, cold Arctic air sweeps across the Sea of Japan, collecting moisture before dumping extraordinary amounts of powder across Hokkaido.
That’s why skiers and snowboarders travel from every corner of the globe to experience what locals simply call Japow.
Once you’ve skied Japanese powder…
You’ll understand why people keep coming back.
